Battle by the Border returns for another year at Blaine DGC — a wooded, technical course that rewards clean lines, smart decisions, and controlled golf. If you enjoy shaping shots and being tested off the tee, this is a layout you’ll appreciate.
This event has been around for several years, and while I’ve had the pleasure of running it for the past few, I’ve handed things off this year to TD Eric Lloyd, the new Whatcom Disc Golf Club President.
I’ll be on-site with a couple things happening alongside the tournament:
• Playing in My Shoes micro-clinic (11–2) — a free, all-abilities experience focused on accessibility and perspective in disc golf
• Far From Par Disc Golf will be on-site with a selection of discs
Event Format
• PDGA C-Tier
• One-day, two-round tournament
• Pro divisions paid out in cash, amateur divisions paid out in scrip to Far From Par
• First 50 amateur players receive a tournament-stamped Innova disc
Schedule
• 7:45–8:25 AM — Check-in
• 8:30 AM — Player meeting
• 9:00 AM — Round 1
• 12:00 PM — Lunch break
• ~1:15 PM — Round 2
• ~5:00 PM — Awards and wrap-up
Divisions and Entry
• Pros: $55
• Amateurs: $40
• Optional $5 ace pot
• Multiple divisions offered across Pro, Amateur, age-protected, and junior fields.
