Please help us keep batteries out of the waste stream! Drop off old batteries to be recycled from 3-5 p.m. on August 20.
Tape all terminal ends of Lithium & rechargeable batteries with clear packing tape (Terminal: exposed metal that conducts energy from battery to device)
*Includes button/watch batteries (cover both flat sides with tape)

Accepted Batteries
Lithium (both primary and rechargeable accepted)
Lithium ion
Lithium polymer
NiMH (nickel metal hydride)
NiCad (nickel cadmium)
SEALED lead acid
Small size, LOOSE, <11 lbs.
Mid-format size, LOOSE, 11-25 lbs. (e.g., batteries from e-bikes/e-scooters, portable power station, outdoor power tools)
DDR (damaged, defective, recalled)
Battery packs with at least one cell in a plastic case
Not Accepted Batteries
Alkaline (these can go in the regular trash)
Lead acid batteries that power cars, boats, etc.
Any battery larger than 25 pounds
Electronic vehicle (EV) batteries
Embedded/encased batteries in computers, laptops, tablets, cell phones, smart watches, vaping devices, printers, computer peripherals (Electronics have specific disposal requirements under the CDRA law)
