BATS 40th: Playfulness, Rediscovered with Susie Sargent [PRQ-S]

To celebrate BATS Improv’s 40th anniversary in November 2026, we’re launching a year of 40th Specialty Classes. Every month, we’ll bring back a class from the past four decades—some taught by the original coaches who created them, and others updated by a new generation of coaches. It’s a chance to revisit the skills and formats that made BATS what it is today, learn something new, and connect across 40 years of improv history!

Playfulness isn't just for warm-ups — it's the engine that makes improv come alive. In this workshop, we'll dig into improv games, then go further: exploring how that same spirit of play — curiosity, lightness, delight in surprise — can infuse every scene you build. Expect to laugh, fail gloriously, and rediscover why we started playing in the first place.

We have community standards, a conflict process, and a COVID prevention policy in place. Agreement/acceptance of these policies is required to participate in BATS classes. Refunds / Transfers / Exchanges

All sales are final. If you’re unable to attend class, please notify BATS Improv before the class begins to receive credit toward a different class. Credits are not prorated for individual missed classes within a series.

Canceled Classes

If BATS Improv cancels a class, you may choose between a credit toward a different class or a refund to your original payment method.
