Bats 101

Get an introduction to bats. Learn about the qualities that make these animals inspiring, not scary, from a bat biologist! What characteristics of their body and behavior make bats unique both in general, but also southeast Michigan specifically. Participants will interact with real bat specimens and plush models, answer questions, and play a game to improve understanding. Celebrate the installation of a demonstration bat house off the Goodson Alley entrance, where community can observe and be part of citizen science here.
Free and open to all.
Registration is not required, but only those who are registered will receive their own bat house.
