Bats 101

Get an introduction to bats. Learn about the qualities that make these animals inspiring, not scary, from a bat biologist! What characteristics of their body and behavior make bats unique both in general, but also southeast Michigan specifically. Participants will interact with real resin-preserved bat specimens and plush models, answer questions, and play a game to improve understanding. Celebrate the installation of a demonstration bat house off the Goodson Alley entrance, where community can observe and be part of citizen science here.
Free and open to all.
