OverviewBathgate boasts a history spanning nearly a millennium, with significant periods of transformation.
Our walk will start with an uphill climb from where, if we are lucky we will have a birds eye view of the surrounding countryside before descending through Kirkton Park & on our return through the town to the start point we will discover just a little of this towns fascinating past.

Marjoriebanks Street Car Park which is located near the Bathgate United Reform Church at 6.45pm.
For car share please meet in the Livingston Railway Station car park (Glasgow Side) at 6.25pm.
Please be aware that whilst the majority of the route is on paved pathway the hill we will be climbing is on rough & uneven ground so walking trainers or boots are advised. We will pause at the highest point to take in the view & have a refreshment break to rehydrate.
The evenings have started to draw in & it is now advisable to bring a headtorch with you on all evening walks from now on.
