Main Street Bath’s Autumnfest Returns October 3 with Shopping Incentives, Local Music & Fall Fun
BATH, Maine — Main Street Bath’s annual Autumnfest returns to downtown Bath on Saturday, October 3, offering shoppers a full day of fall activities, local music and a special incentive to support Bath’s independent businesses.
From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., participating downtown businesses will take part in Main Street Bath’s popular $50/$10 Sale. Look for a potted pinwheel outside participating businesses as the sign that they are part of the promotion.
Shop at participating businesses and spend $50 or more to receive a $10 Gift of Bath certificate. Shoppers can bring their qualifying receipts to the Main Street Bath redemption station at Peace House Studio to redeem their $10 Gift of Bath.
The Gift of Bath can be spent at approximately 60 local businesses throughout the Bath community and, best of all, Gift of Bath certificates never expire. The program keeps shopping dollars circulating locally while giving residents and visitors another reason to explore Bath’s unique shops, restaurants and businesses.
Free Fall Activities & Live Music
Autumnfest will also feature free activities for the whole family.
From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., artist Nancy Marstaller and Main Street Bath volunteers will host a free block-printing activity in the parking lot next to City Hall. Participants can create their own designs on cotton bags—perfect for shopping, carrying treasures home or even using for trick-or-treating.
There will be 100 cotton bags available on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last.
Local singer and musician Mason Harrington will perform live next to City Hall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., providing a soundtrack for the morning’s downtown activities.
Autumnfest also coincides with two other community events happening in downtown Bath:
City of Bath Community Involvement Day — 9 a.m. to noon at Waterfront Park
Bath Farmers’ Market — 8:30 a.m. to noon on Commercial Street
With several activities happening throughout the morning, Autumnfest offers residents and visitors an opportunity to make a day of it in downtown Bath.

“Every purchase at a local shop or restaurant helps keep dollars in our community. The $50/$10 Sale is a fun way to reward people for shopping locally while giving them another reason to explore everything downtown Bath has to offer.”
Main Street Bath encourages residents and visitors to spend the day downtown, enjoy the community activities, listen to live music, shop local and take advantage of the $50/$10 Sale.
Autumnfest is presented by Main Street Bath as part of its ongoing work to preserve and promote historic downtown Bath and strengthen the local economy.
