WORKSHOP 1, James Graves, Historical Tailor, will teach how to make men’s breeches.WORKSHOP 2, Annemarie Crhová, professional artistic embroider will teach goldwork embroidery for a ball gown, materials provided.
WORKSHOP 3
Pocket Perfection: In this hands-on workshop you will learn the tailoring trade’s methods of constructing both welted and flapped pockets for coats and waistcoats. Taught by trained Journeyman Tailor, Michael McCarty from Colonial Williamsburg.
All materials will be provided.
TALK 1
Undervalued Garments and Accessories. Cristina Barreto-Lancaster talks about the important items, often forgotten, that complete a regency wardrobe, with a complimentary pattern.
TALK 2
Helen Louring Jensen, Gastronomy in the Regency period, with tasting and historical recipes.
TALK 3
A detective story in dress, uniforms and source material. Ben Townsend talks about the discovery of a lost uniform and what it can teach us about sources, history and replicas in costuming.
TALK 4
Full Dress, Half Dress, Opera Dress, etc. Martin Lancaster explains
the meaning of the dozens of costume terms, when they were
used and what they consist of.
ALL DAY MARKET
There will be several specialist stands and everyone is welcome to bring any used re-enactment clothing and accessories that they wish to sell, a manned table will enable you to leave your items with a price tag.
