New round of samba bateria classes starting Sun March 8, led by Grupo Samba Rio director and percussion master Jorge Alabe!Learn Rio-style samba drum technique for all bateria instruments.
Series dates: March 8, 15, & 22 and Apr 5
$100 for 4-class series.
Advance sign-up required (not drop-in)
Open to all levels. This is a great time to tune up samba playing skills and work on learn the real samba groove.
Grupo Samba Rio will also be getting ready for San Francisco Carnaval, so now’s the time to start coming to come to prepare if you are interested in participating in the parade.
Plan to bring your own instruments if you have them--surdo, caixa, repinique, tamborim, agogo, chocalho.
(If you don't have your own, be sure to let us know in advance and we can bring extras to borrow during class).
Advance sign-up is required, with payment via Venmo (or other by arrangement).
