Join Ashland Parks & Recreation for a week of fun, discovery, and appreciation for one of nature's most fascinating mammals! Whether you're an avid wildlife enthusiast, an artist, or looking for family-friendly fall activities, Bat Week has something for everyone. Explore the world of bats through hands-on art classes, educational presentations, guided twilight walks, a documentary screening, and activities designed just for kids. Along the way, you'll learn why bats are such an important part of our ecosystem and how we can all help protect these incredible nighttime neighbors.
Browse the programs below and register for one—or several—to celebrate Bat Week with us! All activities are held at The North Mountain Park Nature Center, 620 N. Mountain Ave, Ashland, except for The Documentary, The Invisible Mammal. The Invisible Mammal will be shown at Ashland's Varsity Theatre.

Tuesday, October 27 | Going Batty! (Bats for Kids Program) | 3:30pm to 4:30pm | $5 per child
Tuesday, October 27 | Twilight Bat Walk | 6pm - 7pm | FREE
Wednesday, October 28 | Going Batty! (Bats for Kids Program) | 3:30pm to 4:30pm | $5 per child
Thursday, October 29 | Batty Face Painting Party | 3:30pm to 4:30pm | $10 per child
Thursday, October 29 | Bat Talk | 6pm to 7pm | FREE
Friday, October 30 | The Invisible Mammal: A Bat Documentary | 6:15pm to 8pm
