Join us for a guided bat walk around Adel Dam Nature Reserve, in search of some of our nocturnal residents.
About this Event

Tucked on the edge of Leeds, Adel Dam comes alive after dark. As dusk falls over the water and woodland, bats emerge to hunt. Join our helpful guides for a nighttime walk through this hidden urban gem in search of these illusive creatures.

You'll learn about Britain's amazing bat species, get hands-on with a bat detector, and discover how we can identify different species through sound alone. No experience needed - just curiosity and a sense of adventure.

Embrace your wild side - what to expect:

Accessibility and terrain

The path to Marsh Hide is suitable for standard wheelchairs and pushchairs, while the rest of the route is more uneven with narrow passage ways which become inaccessible for some users. Boggy areas frequent so keep to path.

People using wheelchairs, powerchairs and mobility equipment can find more information about this reserve here thanks to Accessible Nature.

Please let us know at checkout if you have any access requirements that you would like to make us aware of and/or require any additional support to fully participate in this event. We aim to accomodate wherever possible.
