About this Event

The walk is led by Holly Weber, Southwark Council Ecologist.

Meet in Wodehouse Woodland Garden, SE5 7FD, (on Southampton Way opposite Oliver Goldsmith primary school), 7.30pm.

Walk through Sceaux Gardens & Lucas Gardens then on to see the new pond in Brunswick Park. Finish about 9.00pm.

There will be some bat detectors to share to better see/hear the bats.

Wodehouse Woodland Garden, the meeting point, is one site in the Southampton Way Nature Corridor. Southwark Council’s Biodiversity Fund has awarded £38,000 to to Southwark Nature Action Volunteers, Wells Way Triangle Greening Group and Friends of Burgess Park. The funding will be used to make five small green spaces more nature friendly. These green spaces will act as stepping stones for birds and insects providing food and habitat, linking Burgess Park to other parks and housing estate green areas.
