About this Event
Bats and Trees Society of Cairns (BatSoc) Inc invites members and non-members to our postponed AGM 1pm Saturday 10 March 2024, Cominos House, Greenslopes St , Edge Hill
Our guest speaker, Sera Steves, will take you on a tour of bats around the world and what people are doing to help their threatened bats. After this inspiring talk, we will hold our AGM so we can continue in our vital work to save the endangered Spectacled Flying-fox.
BatSoc has two main roles, raising funds for bat carers who tirelessly give their time to care for orphaned and injured flying-foxes and microbats, and raising awareness to conserve our endangered Spectacled Flying-fox and other FNQ bats through a series of community engagement and education events. None of this can happen without the BatSoc committee.
So please consider becoming a member, if you are not already, and come to our AGM to vote for the committed and passionate people who make these things happen. We welcome new people to the committee, but if committees aren't your thing, we have many volunteer positions available.
And if you can't make it in person join us on Zoom: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/6191620163?pwd=bTNWTG43Wkl0enZOczVWSS95Mm5QQT09
