Bat Night at Cumberland Marsh Preserve

Join The Nature Conservancy and VCU Bat Researchers at Cumberland Marsh Preserve and learn about the world's only flying mammal - the bat! Although they are often given a bad rap, bats are a crucial part of our ecosystems and play an important role in pollination and pest control.

We will learn about these fascinating nighttime creatures from VCU Bat Researchers, and try to identify species present at the preserve using acoustic bat monitoring software.
