Bat detectives: Bat walk in Jesmond Dene for 16 - 24 year olds

Laura, a member of NWT's young peoples forum, will be leading you along the ouseburn to spot the bats as they hunt for insects. Along the walk you will learn how to use a specialist bat detector and hear the amazing sounds each species make 😁 Come join us to discover the fascinating world of bats!

Please wear suitable clothing for the weather conditions on the day. Make sure to wear warm clothing as it can get chilly.

16 - 17 year olds must have parental permission upon sign up.

If you have access to a headtorch please bring along with you, we will have spares for people who do not. Be aware that the end time of this event is after sunset so it will be dark for your journeys home.
