Join us for an evening to about our nocturnal flying friends and learn about all things Bats and Moths. Place: Brackfield Wood, Faughan Valley Woodlands, Killaloo,
Derry~Londonderrry. Meeting at Red Brae Wood Car Park.
Date: Wednesday 24th July 2024
Time: 9pm – 11pm
Duration: 2 hours
Distance: Approx. 1-2 km
Price: £5 (We are currently only able to take cash on arrival at the event. Please bring the correct change)
Booking: Essential
Parking: Available at nearby Red Brae carpark (it can be accessed via the A6 in the direction heading towards Drumahoe. Take the Ardmore road exit and then the first left onto the Ardground Road. After 1 mile you will find the Red Brae carpark.)
Dogs: No dogs to be brought with participants other than assistance dogs, but please be aware there may be other dogs walkers using the wood during the session.
Access: Paths are gravel surfaced and can become muddy or slippery during wet weather. Some steep sections.
As this is a dusk/night time activity torches are advised to navigate in the dark.
Extra things to know: Please dress appropriately for the weather and activity.
Event may be cancelled/postponed in cases of extreme weather or in poor conditions for bats & moths.
Updates will be sent to even participants in the lead up to the event.
