Bat and Moth Evening - Cannock Chase

Join our countryside ranger team, as they show you the brilliant world of bats! Cannock Chase is home to a variety of bat species, which our ranger team monitor and carry out vital conservation work, to ensure these species thrive. We will also be examining moth traps, after the bat walk, to see what marvellous moths have appeared and get close up views of each moth!
On the walk, you will get a chance to learn all about the bats on Cannock Chase, their habitats, conservation work and monitoring. You will also get the chance to use one of our bat detectors, to see if you can identify which bats are swooping past! You will also be able to see how moth traps are set up, why we monitor moths and get close up views of each moth!
Don't forget to wrap up warm, bring a torch/headtorch and suitable clothing, as it can drop cold in the evenings.
Price: £10.00 per person.
Meet at 8.30pm, for a 8.45pm start.

This event is booked on a first come first served basis. The event capacity if capped, due to safety. If you have not reserved a space, you will be turned away.
Please note this event may be cancelled with very short notice, as bats do not like heavy rain or bad wind.
