Sealed League is a 7 week ongoing event in the sealed format that is tons of fun, and has lots of prizes!The entry fee is $75 tax in. This puts $35 per person into the prize pool.
Each player gets 6 packs of Duskmourn OR Foundations. You build a 40 card deck out of what you open, including land, which is free from the store. Each week you are assigned a group of 2-3 opponents to play in a best of 3 match. Odd weeks are random opponents, and even weeks are the 3 opponents closest to you in points. Games can be played anytime the store is open.
Points are earned in the following ways:
Win 2-0: 3 points
Win 2-1: 2 points
Lose 1-2: 1 point
Lose 0-2: 0 points
This process goes for 6 weeks, with 50% of the prize pool going to the top 40% of the standings after week 6. The top 8 compete in a final week event, which is either a sealed swiss event with their pools, or a Foundations Draft. The remainder of the prize pool is paid out to the top 3 of final event. (if draft is chosen, cost of draft comes out of the remaining prize pool).
Between each week, participants are allowed to purchase any non collector standard legal pack, and add it to their sealed pool. Decks will evolve over time as more cards are added, and eventually you might even have multiple viable decks! Decks are in labelled boxes and kept at the store until the league ends.
Each week will have a "Coleman's Gamble": where there will be a random set chosen, that any player may opt to purchase TWO packs from that set, or one from a different standard set of their choice!
