Bastille Day: Preparing French Culinary Classics at East Bank Regional Library

Mixologist Elizabeth Pearce will discuss and prepare a classic cocktail, the Sidecar, created in France during the 1920s, and Chef Nora Wetzel will focus on an easy recipe for chocolate mousse in celebration of Bastille Day at two different libraries – one on each bank of the Mississippi River:
Tuesday, July 14, 6:30 pm – West Bank Regional Library (2751 Manhattan Blvd. in Harvey)
Wednesday, July 15, 6:30 pm - East Bank Regional Library (4747 W. Napoleon Ave. in Metairie)
These cooking and cocktail demonstrations are free of charge and are open to the public. Patrons will be allowed to sample the dishes that are prepared during the demonstration. However, these demonstrations are not intended to serve as meals for those in the audience. Food will not be sold. Patrons must be ages 21+ to sample the cocktail.
