On Sunday, September 29th 2024, we will be hosting a fundraising event at St. John’s Church, North Street for a local member of our proud Jim Thorpe community, Candace Knox.
Candace is a 32 year old mother of two amazing boys (Tate, 5 & Cade, 2) and wife of Zach. To say that her family is her ENTIRE world is an understatement. To say that this is a trying time for their family is an even bigger understatement.
Candace was recently diagnosed with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer. Due to limited local healthcare options, they will have to travel for her to seek further potential options for care. It will be a consuming journey, to say the least. Between trying to maintain work, Tate just starting kindergarten and Cade at home, their time and funds will be limited. This is not something Candace can face alone and will require Zach to be her travel companion. That being said, we are raising funds to help with treatment, recovery and travel expenses. Your contribution will help alleviate some of the upcoming financial burden and allow her family to focus on time well spent and Candace’s care and well being.
The event will include a basket raffle, bake sale and food! 😋
