Basics of Rifle Shooting Course (NRA)

Join Us for the NRA's Basics of Rifle Shooting Course!
Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for the safe use of a rifle in target shooting.
This course is at least 10 hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot rifles. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; rifle parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest, prone, sitting, standing and kneeling positions; cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Rifle Shooting Student Examination, and receive a course completion certificate.
The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation and is available for ages 10 and older, depending on maturity. Youth 10-15 must have a parent in attendance, youth 14-17 must have a parent on site during the range portion of the course. Delivery of the course is the traditional, instructor-led course where you will receive direct instruction from at least two NRA-certified instructors from beginning to end.
More Details: The Instructor Led training takes place in a traditional classroom and range environment. This course will be completed in a single day format of instruction. To sign up for the course, click on the Buy a Ticket link which will ensure you a seat in the class and the lead instructor will send you further instructions. The Ticket price of $40 is ONLY the DEPOSIT, the remaining fee will be collected in CASH/CHECK on the day of class.
*If you do NOT have a firearm to use, you may borrow one of ours, there is a $10 cleaning fee and a $20 ammunition fee.

This $40 deposit is non-refundable and can only be used for the next available class if you contact us at least 7 days befor the course you are currently scheduled in. While you can pay the deposit with a Credit card here, you must pay the balance on the day of the course with cash or check.
