Basics of knee arthroplasty StR course

Join us for a day course aimed at ST3/4/5 trainees to learn contemporary concepts in treatment of degenerative conditions of the knee.
Using Sunderland's anatomy lab we will cover degenerative conditions of the knee, the relevant applied anatomy, including ligamentous and meniscal structures, discuss medial, lateral and patellofemoral unicompartmental and total knee replacement and patella resurfacing. We will review UKA and TKA implants, patient selection and discuss more advanced topics including alignment philosophies and technological assistance as well as learn surgical technique in knee arthroplasty using a dry bone model.
