Day 1: Classroom instruction & map-reading fundamentals
Day 2: Field navigation exercises & practical route-finding
🏕 Overnight Option:
Camping available for participants who want the full outdoor experience
OES will provide meals, snacks, and water throughout the weekend

After classroom instruction, you’ll apply your skills in a progressive, hands-on navigation challenge, working through instructor-led routes in varied terrain. By the end of the course, you’ll have a strong foundation in navigation skills, giving you the confidence to explore the backcountry with greater independence.
