This five-day, 40-hour training program is practical, informational and hands-on. The purpose of the course is to provide law enforcement with the knowledge and skills required to train probationary law enforcement officers in a one-to-one setting. Diverse instructional methods will be employed to provide a student-centered learning environment.

Attendees will receive a comprehensive manual to assist with their training post-course. Additionally, the attendees will complete several in-class DORs to help them with performance evaluation, remediation of errors, providing proper feedback and documenting daily training activities using the Standardized Evaluation Guidelines. Attendees will also complete a performance improvement plan to provide documentation of training deficiencies and provide a documented plan for improvement.
