About this Instructor:
Kalenga Georgette Batubenge was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and raised in Mons, Belgium, she is fortunate to have French as her primary language.
Having a professional background of working as a Recreational Therapist, a teacher as well as a French tutor, Georgette has always had a passion for working with people. Doing so has allowed for her to meet and learn from individuals from different age groups and backgrounds.
Georgette is no stranger to Hudson Community College where she attended briefly before completing and graduating with her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Felician University.
She is a devoted mother of two, a wife, an autism advocate and forever, a student of life.
Mrs. Georgette defines success as choosing not to limit oneself, regardless of the challenges or lack of knowledge. She says that it is also choosing not to avoid the obstacles ahead but pushing forward, embracing it, and trying anyway.
She hopes to integrate that mindset in her classroom as you learn “le français” otherwise known as French.
This live class is going to be held online via the Webex or Zoom platform. Participants will receive an email with details on how to access the live course a few days before the start of class.
