BASF 2025 What's Inside? UCSF MRI Tour

Learn all about superconducting magnets on this MRI lab tour! You’ll see how Magnetic Resonance Imaging works by capturing detailed images of fruits and vegetables, then experiment with how the pictures change as we play around with different parameters.

Please note: There are no phones or other metal devices allowed in the lab area. The tour guide will ask you to leave any metal devices in a basket just outside the lab. If you have any metal implants in your body (including pace makers), you will not be allowed in the lab area, please choose a different tour.

Limit 4 tickets per family or group.

The tour takes place near Koret Quad, with the exact location shared after registration. Ages 12+.
