Baseball Photography Workshop with Canon & TCP Photography | Cleveland, OH

We’re excited to partner with Canon for an awesome baseball photography hands-on workshop on August 7th at the Lake Erie Crushers stadium in Avon. ⚾Game starts at 7PM.

Capture the excitement of the Lake Erie Crushers vs. Down East Bird Dawgs while learning sports photography techniques.

This exclusive Canon workshop includes:

• Admission ticket to the Lake Erie Crushers game

• Rotating access to the photographers' pit during the game

• Post-game access to the field to photograph the fireworks display

• Try Canon gear and lenses at a live sporting event 

• Hands-on guidance by professional sports photographer Tim Phillis of TCP Photography

• Free parking 

Need Gear? Canon will have free on-site loaner gear available for you to demo and try out during the game!

Please bring a variety of lenses, and if you plan to photograph the fireworks, a tripod and trigger are highly recommended. While many sports photographers use lenses like a 70-200mm f/2.8, 300mm, or 400mm f/2.8, feel free to bring whichever lenses you prefer to achieve your desired images. Non rental options will also be available through Pixel Connection before the event.

We recommend participants have a basic understanding of their camera settings, including adjusting ISO and aperture to balance light. Familiarity with basic baseball concepts will also enhance your experience.

Given the unique access and limited spots, we anticipate this workshop will sell out quickly.

For those unfamiliar with the team, the Lake Erie Crushers are a professional baseball team in the Frontier League, part of the Midwest Division. Since their expansion in 2009, they've had a successful run, winning the Frontier Cup in their inaugural season and reaching the postseason in 2011, 2013, 2014, and 2019. Their home field is Crusher Stadium in Avon, Ohio, a city-owned facility with a capacity of 5,000, featuring box seats, private suites, terrace tables, berm seating, picnic areas, and modern amenities.

*The Crushers will have the rights to sell photographs taken by the workshop to use in promotional material and other Crushers collateral material. The photographer would receive photo credit. Additionally, all attendees will need to sign a liability waiver.
