This event is for BASC Junior Members, the event is subsidised as a member benefit. BASC junior membership is £33 per year (or just £3 per month) providing all the benefits of BASC membership and access to our events and courses.

BASC Junior Members Young Shot Progression Day

The day is aimed at youngsters that have attended a young shots introduction day or have some prior shooting experience and are looking to take the next steps in there shooting development.

The day includes:

Theory session

• Shotgun types and calibres
• Shotgun/cartridges working
• Shotgun Law
• Certificate application
• Shotgun cleaning

Practical theory session

• Safety
• Quarry identification
• Range judging
• Conduct and shoot etiquette
• Carcass preparation

Shotgun coaching session

• Dedicated clay shooting session with BASC coach

Youngsters will need to bring a packed lunch and suitable outdoor clothing for the expected weather.

All other equipment will be provided but if your youngster has a shotgun they are welcome to bring it.

Time: 10:00 – 14:00. Once your Youngster has been signed in/registered with one of our staff, you may then leave and return at 14.00pm to collect them.

Age: Minimum 10 years - Maximum age 18 years.

Cost: £40 BASC Junior members

Open to BASC Junior members only.

Please note:

Ticket fees will only be refunded up to 7 days before the event.

If you wish to cancel your ticket the booking fee, which is absorbed by BASC on booking, (approx. £3.75) will not be refunded.

If BASC cancel the event you will receive a full refund.
