Everyone is welcome to join Indy Land Stewardship at Barton Park April 25th from 9:00am – 12:00pm for a hands-on opportunity to tackle invasive species in your community! This W**d Wrangle® volunteer event is part of a nationwide initiative to control invasive plants in public parks and natural areas. We'll be removing invasive bush honeysuckle and purple wintercreeper. Volunteers will assist staff in removing these species either by hand-pulling or with provided hand tools. A brief presentation on plant identification and safety will be given. Gloves, safety vests, and water will also be provided. What to bring: water bottle, closed-toe shoes, hat, and long pants.
