The Barrister's Ball is back, and this year, we're bringing the magic and glamour of masquerade to life. Join us for the largest SBA event of the year—a night of dancing and fun at DC’s premier concert venue. Don't miss out on this unforgettable evening.

Date: Saturday, April 5, 2025

Time: 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Location: The Anthem, 901 Wharf St SW, Washington, DC 20024

Attire: Black-tie optional

What to expect: 2 complimentary drink tickets (beer, wine, hard seltzer), cash bar, heavy hors d'oeuvres, dessert, great music, and a night of fun and dancing.

TICKET SALES & PRICING:

Sales begin on February 10, 2025, on Eventbrite.

Early Bird Tickets, Pre-sale admission (Feb 10 - Feb 21): $90 + Eventbrite processing fee

Regular admission (Feb 22 until sold out): $100 + Eventbrite processing fee

THE FINE PRINT:

Only Georgetown Law students are permitted to purchase tickets. You may purchase up to 2 tickets and you must purchase tickets using your Georgetown email address in Eventbrite. Any non-students who purchase a ticket will forfeit their ticket to the Student Bar Association.

Students may purchase a maximum of 2 tickets total: 1 for themselves, and 1 for a guest.

Any student who purchases more than 2 tickets will forfeit all of their tickets to the Student Bar Association.

Tickets are non-refundable. However, tickets are transferrable. Students are permitted to resell their tickets, but can only charge up to the original purchase price (including the service fee paid). SBA will revoke the tickets of those who are found to have broken this policy.

All guests attending the event must be 21+ and IDs will be checked at the door.

Doors will open at 7:00 PM and close promptly at 8:00 PM. If you are not in line by 8:00 PM, you will be turned away.

As noted above, each attendee will receive two drink tickets at the door for beer, hard seltzer, and/or wine, and there will be a cash bar available for additional drinks (the bar will take credit card). The event will also feature hors d'oeuvres stations and desserts.

CODE OF CONDUCT:

SBA has worked incredibly hard to make this event happen and we want it to be a fun and safe night for everyone. To ensure that we meet this goal, anyone who appears visibly intoxicated or engages in any harassing, violent, or otherwise inappropriate behavior will be denied entry, removed from the event, and have their tickets revoked.

A NOTE FROM SBA:

We understand this event is expensive. SBA has worked hard to keep costs as low as possible while trying to accommodate the large demand for tickets. The current ticket prices reflect the lowest possible admission price necessary for a quality event at this exciting venue. See you at Barrister's Ball 2025!
