This ride is all about giving Tony the birthday surprise he deserves.
Tony is celebrating his 79th birthday and has had a lifelong passion for motorcycles. In his younger years he competed on scramblers and was highly regarded, before becoming involved with some of the early developments in electric motorcycles.
Sadly, over recent years Tony has lost much of his memory, but when those moments of clarity come through, he is an absolute pleasure to talk to. Hearing him speak about his past was genuinely moving.
Some time ago the care home organised a motorcycle gathering especially for Tony. Unfortunately, only 2 bikers turned up. Seeing how much it meant to him made me promise that next time we'd do better.
This is that opportunity.
Not only will Tony enjoy seeing a great turnout of bikes, but the other residents will too. The care home is making an event of the afternoon and inviting families along, with the hope of raising a little money to provide extra treats and activities for the residents.
Why "Rev-olution"?
Because once we're all parked up, we'll give Tony the sound he'll never forget—a quick, respectful rev of our engines to celebrate his birthday and his lifelong love of motorcycles.
Let's give Tony and the residents an afternoon to remember.

Meeting at The Victoria Bikers Pub in Coalville, we'll ride to the care home and surprise Tony and the residents.
