Commemorating World Theatre Day, 2026
Look forward to a seven days of Theatre, Storytelling, Workshops, Performances, Improv, Playback and so much more!
From 23rd March Monday to 29th March Sunday

Monday
- Plays Of Applause on 23rd March | FREE
Readings of past productions, scenes and memories
Tuesday
- Paper Poets on 24th March | FREE
Music and poetry meet-up, where everyone shares and listens
Wedneday
- Improv on 25th March with Keyur Pandya | INR 200
An Improv jam session where we introduce nuances of Improv and comedy, and everyone
participates in the games.
Thursday
- Playback on 26th March with Apsara Iyengar and Niyati Bhatt | INR 200
Playback theatre is a form of drama that works off audience interaction and actor
participation. We re-play real stories and perform theatre. Come join an exciting session.
Friday
- WORLD THEATRE DAY Celebration 27th March | INR 100 + INR 100
7:15 to 8:15 PM Special NTR Workshop - Open for all age groups and levels of experience,
come act it out!
8:30 PM to 10:00 PM Absurd Theatre Showcase and Dramatic Reading of Theatre play for
audiences to watch. They may volunteer to read/perform with the actors.
Saturday
- Kaboom! A children's show on 28th March | INR 200
Mime, gibberish and storytelling for children of all ages

Sunday
- Forum Workshop 29th March with Apsara Iyengar | INR 600
A workshop for adults - professionals in all disciplines working with people such as teachers,
doctors, lawyers and engineers, students, parents and home-makers. Theatre of the
oppressed is a unique form of theatre that uses devising techniques and interactive format
of performance to communicate powerful stories relevant to our times.
Forum Show 29th March | INR 200 (for non-participants)
Come to watch the show, even if you can't make it to the workshop and enjoy the chance to
perform on stage and be heard!

About #BTW Baroda Theatre Week
Baroda theatre week was started in 2019, to commemorate world theatre day and align with our mission to create innovate theatre experiences that engage, empower and entertain.
The second edition was scheduled online in 2020. The third was celebrated along with Applause Vadodara's 8th anniversary, in 2022. After 4 years, we are putting back the week long celebration. We are also happy to open to our audiences the new space, VR Manch.
About Applause Vadodara encourages an age-no-bar gender-no-bar language-no-bar type of association with theatre and art. Our mission is to create Innovative theatre Experiences that engage empower and entertain. We are Vadodara's first and most popular theatre initiative started in 2014.
Applause has more than 10 productions to credit and artists have performed at various festivals such as Kalaghoda Arts Festival International Children's Theatre festival Sayaji Literature Festival to name a few. Workshops by Applause Vadodara have been hosted across the country from Chandigarh to Mumbai and various other locations.
