Come one, come all to the Barn Dance for Haiti on Saturday, October 25! Please join us for this family-friendly social event in the parish hall at 100 Pine Hill Road from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Hearty refreshments will be prepared and served by Haitian Chef, Jocelyn Aurelian. The dance is a fundraiser for St. Paul's Haiti outreach partners to fund student scholarships for Haitian nursing and therapy students and to support the Children’s Nutrition Program in Haiti. What is a barn dance, you ask? Traditionally held in barns but now held in any building designed for large group events, a barn dance is an informal social gathering for the purpose of dancing in circle, square, and line formations to lively traditional tunes. A caller walks people through the dances and then prompts them in time with the music. No prior dance experience of any kind is required, and if you’re not up for dancing, come watch the fun and listen to some great music.
We have assembled a star-studded line-up of well-known local musicians who will be performing live for the dance, including Jon Anderson (fiddle), Alice Bouvrie (fiddle), Vern Imrich (guitar), Aaron Oppenheimer (mandolin), and Gian Criscitiello (bass). In addition, St. Paul’s parishioners Beth Parkes will be the caller and Judy Criscitiello will also be on fiddle!
Tickets are $25 for ages 13+, $5 for kids 12 & under, and $60 for a family. https://tinyurl.com/RSVPBarn Please RSVP and let us know that you are coming!
