We are the Ridiculously Serious Rebels! We are a three man (and woman) band consisting of Raph, Sarah and Rae. Rae is our music teacher and we over time
developed a love for singing and performing together, originally at school and now elsewhere!
Our name was created as an acronym for our names and doubles as an acronym for Ridiculously serious rebels! Rae always calls us rebels and we are ridiculously (not) serious.
When you see us play expect a variety of ‘oldies but goodies’ especially from the 60’s with two and three part harmony, intertwined with our quirky dynamics, banter and sense of humor!

Andre de Villiers

Andre de Villiers is a singer songwriter / story teller who has recorded 12 albums in the course of his career.
Andre spends much of his time touring the United States, Australasia and Europe.
Andre has also written music for some of the world’s most iconic television corporate commercials namely Volkswagen, Lufthansa, McDonald’s and Toyota to name a few.
An evening in concert with Andre will give a clear view into the life of a musician including the ups and downs in the life of an ordinary human navigating his way through extraordinary circumstances.

Barleycorn kicks off 2026 on Monday 19th January with a fantastic first show of the new year. The evening features Kay Austin, a singer-songwriter blending soulful country-rock originals with beloved nostalgic 70s–90s covers; the Ridiculously Serious Rebels, a three-piece band delivering a variety of 60s "oldies but goodies" with tight harmonies, quirky dynamics, and a great sense of humour; and for our headline act we welcome back renowned storyteller Andre de Villiers, well-known for his iconic television corporate commercials of years past, and whose twelve-album career provides an intimate look at the life of a musician navigating extraordinary circumstances.
