This year's theme is New Dawn.
Join us for an unforgettable day of colour, creativity, music and community celebration on Saturday, 10 July 2027, from 1.00 pm to 6.30 pm at Barking Park.
Experience a spectacular day of colourful carnival costumes, live music, dance, delicious food, creative workshops, community stalls and entertainment for all ages.The 2027 theme, New Dawn, celebrates hope, renewal and the shared future of our communities. Chosen by local residents and inspired by the Caribbean tradition of J'ouvert, it reflects new beginnings, creativity and the power of bringing people together.
Rooted in Caribbean carnival heritage, Barking and Dagenham Carnival celebrates the history, artistry and traditions that have inspired carnival for generations while creating a welcoming and inclusive event where everyone belongs.
Pack your picnic basket, bring a blanket, picnic chairs or a shade umbrella, and relax with family and friends while enjoying an unforgettable day of performances, interactive activities and community celebration.
