Barking and Dagenham Carnival 2026
This year's theme is Birds of Paradise.
Join us for an unforgettable day of colour, creativity, music and community celebration on Saturday, 11 July 2026, from 1.00 pm to 6.30 pm at Barking Park.
This year’s exciting theme, Birds of Paradise, celebrates creativity, wellbeing, movement and cultural pride across our borough. Inspired by Caribbean carnival traditions and the rich diversity of our local community, the carnival will bring together residents, families, schools, artists and community groups for a joyful day of performances, costumes, dance, visual arts and entertainment. Set within the beautiful open green space of Barking Park, there will be plenty of room for families and friends to relax, picnic and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere together. Everyone is welcome to attend and celebrate with us.
Whether you want to watch the performances, enjoy the activities or simply soak up the carnival spirit, there will be something for all ages to enjoy.
We are also looking for volunteers to help make this year’s carnival a huge success.
