This iconic event will take over 25 acres of beautiful historic space of Markham Museum. With over 100+ vendors, food trucks, games, and giveaways - this is the most EPIC dog-friendly event of the year that runs one-weekend only! Rain or shine, be prepared to have the time of your life!

Every MDA event we have a unique photostrip design, where your pup and you (or anyone) can take 4 photos together. Hosted by Axolotl Studio, you can redeem this Barkham Souviner by the MDA Tent near the entrance.

💍 • Wedding/Anniversary Photoshoot - Located at Locust Hill Train Station
(limited spaces every 20 minutes - walk-ins may be available day of)

Receive two digital photos from professional photographers of your dog couple in wedding/anniversary attire amongst floral decor by Kates Garden at the historic Train Station. Add your name to the wedding/anniversary board by Northern Oaks Shop. You can seat up to 30 people in attendance to observe the fun ceremony. Leave gifted with bonbonnieres (wedding favours) from Oh My Dogness for your pup(s). You can also take solo shots as a ring boy/girl, or flower girl/boy. Attire provided by Momoji is included for the photoshoot. Limited space available to book appointments. Walk up bookings considered on event day (Pre-booked appointments will be prioritized and guaranteed a wedding favour).

🏺 • Paw-ttery Classes by Markham Museum - Located at the Transportation Hall
(limited spaces at 11:30 and 3pm daily)

Create a lasting keepsake of your pup in this beginner-friendly pottery workshop. Participants will make a personalized clay piece featuring a real paw print, along with custom details like names and glaze colors. No experience needed—all materials, glazing, and firing are included. Finished pieces will be ready for pickup approximately 4 weeks after the event.

🧘🏻‍♀️• Doga - Bring Your Own Dog YOGA - Located at The Paws Zone

(limited 6 spaces at 12pm and 3pm daily)

"Bark to Bliss Doga" for you and your fur baby!

Enjoy a 30 minute session of quiet, slow moving bonding time together.

We’ll also offer some take-aways on how you may practice at home, together.

Session guidelines

• One human, one dog, one leash.
• Arrive at scheduled time.  The 1st 15 minutes will be a meet and greet followed by Doga time together.
• Mats provided.

🏅 • DOGGY PAWLYMPICS - Located at Overflow Field

There are a number of activities to pawticipate in, such as the lure course, agility course, and scent detection with Sniffscape. If you don't feel like pawticipating, sit back and enjoy some live demos. Pawz N Dogs is organizing 2 lure course for only $20 and the rest is free with admission.

🐩 • BREED (& MIXES) MEETUPS - Located at The Burkholder House

Breeds and Mixes Meetups are happening between Transportation Hall & Markham Little Theatre every 15 minutes. There will be a photographer who will snapping the group photos and emailing those digital photos to you. The first dogs to each meetup will get a sampler bag of treats! This area will be supervised by our trainer on duty Val from SSH Canine Academy.

1.5-hour reunion for different rescues to reunite their rescues/fosters in the community. There will be hangout spots and a photobooth curated by Marham Museum’s theatre team for rescues/fosters to take memorable pictures.
