BARK Ranger Hike at Arabia Mountain

Description: Join the BARK Ranger Pack with Rangers Whitney & Rachel and your trail buddy for an evening of pet-friendly exploration at Arabia Mountain. Learn pet friendly hiking tips and earn official BARK Ranger swag for your pet while you both enjoy a great time in nature.
What to expect: Meet at the Nature Center for a "paws"-itively wonderful day! We will travel on the paved PATH as well as natural "soft trails". Please make sure your dog(s) are always leashed during the hike.
Program leader: Your guide will be Ranger Rachel, the DeKalb County Park Naturalist at Arabia, and Ranger Whitney, Admin at Arabia.
Where to meet: Find Ranger Rachel at the Nature Center (3787 Klondike Rd).
What to bring: Wear comfortable footwear, dress for the weather, bring a refillable water bottle and enough water and/or treats for your fur baby.
Restrooms: Public restroom is available at the Nature Center's parking lot.
Recommended ages: This program content is designed for adults and older children, but all ages are welcome.
Dogs: This program is designed FOR DOGS!! Please make sure to bring your fur baby with you!
Weather contingency: This program will be canceled if there is rain or other inclement weather.
Walking distance: 2-3 miles
Exposure: This walk will be under shaded tree canopy and in full sun. If the Mountain is too hot, we will keep to more shady areas.
