B.A.R.K. Ranger Guided Walk
About this Event
Calling all B.A.R.K. Rangers – all of those who are a part of the growing community of responsible dog owners who’ve taken the B.A.R.K. Ranger Pledge! This is your chance to bring your favorite fur buddy and join Presidio naturalists for a leisurely B.A.R.K. Ranger Marsh March around Crissy Marsh and Presidio Tunnel Tops.
From 10 a.m.– 12 p.m., we’ll enjoy an approximately 1.5-mile walk through the park, stopping along the way to explore local plants and wildlife, learn about the restoration history of Crissy Marsh, and take a closer look at the ecological horticulture plantings at Presidio Tunnel Tops.
We’ll travel at a relaxed pace with plenty of time to stop, look, learn, and let our canine companions get some good sniffs in. The route is relatively flat, with one brief incline up to Tunnel Tops.
Bring your B.A.R.K. Ranger
In keeping with the B.A.R.K. Ranger pledge, all dogs must remain on leash for the entire walk. B.A.R.K. Ranger swag is highly encouraged!
Because we’ll walk together as a group, consider whether your pup will be comfortable moving at a slow pace along side other dogs. If your B.A.R.K. Ranger needs to burn off some extra energy beforehand, Crissy Field and East Beach offer nearby areas for permitted off-leash play. And if the humans need some fuel too, coffee and snacks are available near the Main Post and Outpost Picnic Area.
