🐾 Leashes, wagging tails, rescue stories, and one big pawty in the park! 🐾Bring your pup and join the West Fargo Park District and Prairie Pup Bakery for Bark in the Park on Tuesday, June 9 from 5:30–7:30 PM at River’s Bend Park!
This year’s event will feature a special Rescue Dog Showcase focused on helping local rescue dogs find loving homes. Unlike years past, public pets will not participate in the rescue showcase portion of the event. However, community dogs are still encouraged to attend and will have the opportunity to participate in the Best Dog & Human Duo Contest later in the evening!
Throughout the evening, local rescue organizations will introduce adoptable dogs during a walkaround showcase while our DJ shares fun facts, personality traits, and adoption style bios about each pup. Expect adorable outfits, fun tricks, and lots of personality!
Community members and their dogs can enjoy an evening filled with:
• DIY dog toy/accessory crafts
• Doggy door prizes
• Free hotdogs, chips, and beverages while supplies last
• Visiting local pet focused vendors and rescue booths
• Best Dog & Human Duo Contest with prizes to wrap up the evening
🍦 Sweet Treats Ice Cream Truck will also be onsite with sweet treats and cold treats for both humans and pups to enjoy!
🐕 For the safety and comfort of all attendees:
• Dogs MUST remain on a short leash at all times
• No flex/retractable leashes allowed
• Owners must remain with and in control of their pets at all times
No advance registration is required for community participation.
We are also inviting local businesses, organizations, and rescue groups to participate with informational/vendor booths during the event. With 250–300 attendees at past events, Bark in the Park is a great opportunity to connect with fellow pet lovers in the community!
