Welcome to Barista Training: Skills for the Future!

Who’s it for?
High school students in the Mackay Region who are keen to learn a valuable, hands-on skill. No prior experience needed.

What you’ll learn:
In this fun, practical training session, you’ll get to:

• Use professional espresso machines & grinders
• Pull and judge espresso shots – what to look for, what to avoid
• Steam milk to make latte art (no promises on perfection, but you’ll try!)
• Make popular café drinks like lattes, flat whites, and cappuccinos
• Understand coffee bean types, grind size, and how these affect flavour
• Develop safe, clean, and efficient work habits – what cafés expect

Time: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Location: Primal Coffee Roasters HQ, 24 Prospect Street, Mackay QLD 4740
