Sip coffee and enjoy decadent desserts while acclaimed pianist and host Orli Shaham invites you into the intimate world of chamber music by American composers, performed by principal musicians of Pacific Symphony.
The program opens with Jonathan Leshnoff’s Radiance, In Memory of Christina Tarsell — a luminous and deeply moving piano quintet that celebrates life while honoring memory. Peter Dayton’s Fantasy for Viola and Piano weaves lyrical warmth with moments of daring virtuosity. Samuel Barber’s Sonata for Cello and Piano offers youthful passion and lyrical beauty, while Amy Beach’s Piano Quintet closes the afternoon with sweeping romantic grandeur.
