About this Event
Mark your calendars! On September 14, 6 &B Garden NYC.EunYoung Sebazco (*KinKa Co-Creator) and InSook Park warmly invite you to the BaRam, a public participatory art project. *In Korean, the word 바람 (baram) means both ‘wind’ and ‘hope.’
Join us as we celebrate this special day and experience the wind's story through art.BaRam, meaning "wind" in Korean, is the culmination of a journey inspired by the rich and distinct historical and cultural narratives of Korea and Japan. This project, centered on themes of unity and interconnectedness, invites visitors to immerse themselves in a shared experience. *2024 last year video
To engage the audience and offer visitors an opportunity to immerse themselves in the wind’s story, the tea ceremonies are held in a space constructed with ot-goreum, the strips of fabric traditionally used in Korean garments to fasten both ends together. As a piece of participatory art, our project conveys the message that in the most densely populated and diverse city in the world, New York, we are all deeply connected. To further engage the community.
*The proceeds from this raffle will be used to support the community garden. A portion of the funds will also be used to cover the costs of this event, including art supplies and travel expenses.
