Each Quarter, we host a Baptism Sunday! Check for dates and contact us if you are interested in getting baptized! Must register by emailing us at [email protected] or texting 219-488-1152 and providing your name and a good contact #. We'll get in touch with you and walk through your decision and commitment to Jesus with you! We look forward to celebrating this amazing step of faith in your life.
At Momentum Church, we practice "believer's baptism" by full immersion in water. Baptism is an outward sign of an inward grace in the life of one drawn into relationship with Christ. Baptism does not save a person. Rather, it is a symbol of commitment to Christ upon profession of faith. Being submerged in water symbolizes the death and resurrection of Christ, and subsequently, the death of one's old self and being raised to new life in Christ. We do not practice infant baptism or baptize really young children. One must be of an age and maturity to understand what baptism means and be prepared to exercise their faith in commitment to Christ.
