Baptism in the Lake this year is August 17th right after Church in the Park!When we acknowledge that we are sinners and want to be in God’s family of believers, baptism is the next step we take as a follower of Jesus Christ! Baptism is an act of obedience, not a requirement for salvation. Baptism is the outward sign of an inward work of grace, but this baptism does not produce that grace. Our grace is a gift. Baptism unites us with Christ through his death, burial, and resurrection. We want to invite you to this holy sacrament and begin a new life in Christ!
At Zion, we believe in "one baptism for the forgiveness of sins" as stated in the Nicene Creed. This means you only need to be baptized once, however, some may choose to be re-baptized as a public declaration of their faith and commitment to Christ, but this is a personal choice and not a requirement.
