Join us for a special Banned Books Week Story Hour led by a drag queen, bringing Maurice Sendak’s classic Where the Wild Things Are to life in full color, costume, and imagination.
📖 The Story:
Once banned for being “too dark” and “too wild,” this beloved tale of Max and the Wild Things reminds us that every child’s imagination deserves space to run free.
🎉 After the Reading:
Kids will craft their own Wild Crowns, then join our storyteller to “let the wild rumpus start!” with a joyful parade through the store.
This event is free, family-friendly, and open to readers of all ages. Because no story should ever be silenced, especially the ones that help us feel most alive.
