Banned Books Week Kick-Off: Silent Reading at Bards Alley

Help kick off Banned Books Week (Oct. 4-10) at Bards Alley with a silent reading event, co-sponsored by our friends at Libro.fm and Silent Book Club.
Attendees are invited to arrive around 10AM for refreshments and early browsing. There will be a table set up for you to write your own shelf talker for a beloved banned book which, with your permission, will be displayed at Bards Alley through the month of October with its corresponding title.
Silent reading will last for an hour from 10:30AM until 11:30AM. Attendees are encouraged to bring your own chair or blanket (chairs will be provided by Bards Alley, but they're not the most comfortable!), and you may bring your own book to read or shop around at the store for a new one!
Tickets are required to attend with a deposit of $8. Your deposit may be used toward an in-store purchase you make that day at Bards Alley. All attendees will also receive a free Libro.fm audiobook download of Banned Together by Ashley Hope Perez or How to Defend Books and Why by Danny Caine.
