Richardson Building, 40 Washington Street, Quincy, MA, 02169Join us for a discussion of a different banned book on the 2nd Tuesday of every other month. We will discuss the reasons for each book's challenges or bans, the history of each of the books, and the content of the book itself.
January 13: Our first book of the year is "Evil Eye" by Etaf Rum. Forced to confront past traumas and tensions between community and individuality, a woman attempts a personal reset. Evil Eye is the highly acclaimed sophomore novel of Palestinian writer, Etaf Rum. This was one of many books targeted for removal by the Department of Defense’s banned books list.
