A benefit for our musical sister Beatrice McBride, with music by the Andrew Dickeson trio and a who's who of the Sydney Jazz & Blues community...
Beatrice:
In 2017, I had a massive brain tumor with cancerous cells removed from the right side of my brain. I was given a life expectancy of around 5 years.
After three surgeries, years of recovery, lifestyle changes and years of having clear scans I honestly thought I had beaten it.
Unfortunately the cancer has returned and spread into the left side of my brain which makes surgery dangerous and risky.
I need urgent specialist surgery and cancer treatment overseas as what is offered in this country is limited and surgeons wont operate. While the risks are high, this surgery and post surgery treatment gives me real hope that I can once again extend my life expectancy.
I’m asking for your help to give me the chance to survive — to keep living the life I’ve fought so hard for with the people who mean everything to me.
The estimated cost is $75,000, so every donation (even if its $5) and/or share would mean so much to me and help me so much!
