In a nutshell, we are a jumping 5 piece band (Drums, Bass, Guitar, Guitar, Keyboards, 4 vocals and sax) playing an eclectic range of songs and styles. Ska to new wave, soul to electro pop, guaranteed fun!Banana Thieves are fast becoming the south west's favorite alternative music band. Avoiding overplayed pub classics (sorry no sex on fire - no offence) you will hear songs from Pulp, The Specials, Madness, The Stranglers, The Cure, The Clash, Duran Duran, James Brown, The Jam, Gary Numan, Talking Heads, Squeeze........get the idea? All songs have added banana fun, banana energy and banana groove.
Live music isn't just about the songs and playing them well, it has to be about performance. We ensure that the band is as fun to watch as it is to listen and dance to. This is all supported by quality sound and lighting equipment.
For us, it is about having a party with everyone else at the venue - guaranteed fun!
