Looking to revive the lost swing and jazz music of Hawaii, The Bamboo Babies were formed in 2023 by members of two swing bands: the Sweet Sheiks and the Westerlees. Instrumental and vocal tunes are selected from old recordings and sheet music, and performed as a trio including two ukuleles and an acoustic steel guitar. The music was incredibly influential on the subsequent history of music across the world, but was somehow lost to time. The Bamboo Babies are delighted to bring this beautiful music back to audiences of today.
